What to Expect

"Sunday morning is everything to us" - Robin Sigars, Senior Minister

Our main weekly worship experience is what occurs in our Sunday Morning worship services and is the entry level into our discipleship process. Worship is simply our response to God’s reign in our lives, and every Sunday we come together to celebrate this present reality through teaching, fellowship, breaking bread together (communion) and prayer (Acts 2.42-47).

We invite you to join us on Sunday morning, to celebrate the fact that Jesus is no longer dead, but alive and is now reigning his kingdom that we have been graciously brought into. If you have any questions check out What to Expect, or feel free to contact the church office at (417)673-1245 or using our Contact Us page.

What to Expect

What kind of church is C3?

Carterville Christian Church is a non-denominational Church which strives to pattern itself after the church revealed in the New Testament. We are a congregation independent of any outside control, except God and His inerrant Word. God has called us to preach and teach His Word. We want to be faithful to this high calling. We call people to faith in Christ…a faith that responds to his commands to repent, confess our faith, be immersed into Him, and continue to follow Him.

What should I wear?

Come in whatever you are comfortable in. From jeans to a suit, you are welcome!

As a visitor, will I be singled out in any way?

You will not be put on the spot, singled-out, or embarrassed at all. We do pass out a welcome packet to all visitors. You will receive a card in the welcome packet which we use to gather some basic information from our visitors, but it is optional. If you do fill it out, please give it to one of the greeters in the foyer, because we have a special gift for you.

What is worship like?

Carterville Christian Church believes that worship is not limited to the Sunday morning celebration of song and praise to Christ. As a part of our worship philosophy Carterville participates in communion every Sunday as we celebrate the Lord’s Supper as demonstrated in Scripture.

On Sunday morning you and your family will be able to worship Christ through a contemporary worship style that will take you before the throne of God by way of today’s latest and most powerful praise songs and modern versions of amazing traditional hymns. Our worship band features a full arrangement of instruments including: drums, guitars (bass, acoustic and electric), piano and keyboard.

You can always watch our services online Sunday mornings at 9:00 & 10:45 am CST live.

What are the sermons like?

The preaching at Carterville is Bible-based and Christ-centered. Every Sunday you can be sure to hear a practical message centered on the Word of God with clear application for your life in today’s culture.

It is the goal of C3 through worship and the preaching of God’s Word that Christ would be glorified and that you would be encouraged in your life and faith.

You can watch any of our sermons on Vimeo.com.

What do you offer for my child(ren)?

Our vision for the children of Carterville Christian Church is that each child, from Birth-6th grade, will find a safe, fun and loving place to learn and grow. We want to teach children about being a follower of Christ, by always emphasizing loving Him and loving others. Our volunteers are top-of-the-line, and we care about your entire family.

At C3 we protect our children and record attendance by using a computerized check-in system. The check-in system prints security name tags that children are required to wear to enter the classroom. It contains a random security number and the classroom your child is attending, along with your child's allergy information.

You will be asked to fill out a Guest Card listing your children's ages, grades and contact information. You will then be given a set of two security check-in tags per child. Place one tag on each child and keep the other tag as your security claim check for pick-up. A Greeter Guide will then walk your family to your children's classrooms.
