Audition Process and Requirements

The audition process will consist of 3 selected pieces from our worship library. These selections are different keys, tempos, and styles to give you the opportunity to present your talents. We will be looking primarily for these three things during your audition:

1) stage presence

2) tempo

3) musicianship

If you are a vocalist, we will be additionally looking for the ability to harmonize and the ability to blend your vocal with the lead vocal. The 3 songs should give you the opportunity to present each of these areas. Please select one song for singing lead, and one song for singing harmony.

In addition to these two songs you have selected, you may also come prepared with a different song of your choosing that you feel presents your talent to its fullest. This can be any song you choose, but it is not required.

If you are an instrumentalist, we will be additionally looking for musicianship, and tone. Guitar and bass players are encouraged to bring their own instrument and gear, however, we will be able to provide a very basic level pedal board and amp if needed. Drummers are asked to bring sticks they are comfortable playing with.

You must select at least two different songs to play for your audition. In addition to the two songs you select, you may also come prepared with a different song of your choosing that you feel presents your talent to its fullest. This can be any song you choose, but it is not required.

We utilize an in-ear monitoring system called Avioms which requires each band member to have their own set of headphones. Apple ear buds are not recommended.

Understand that your audition time includes your personal setup so keep it simple. Please rehearse at your convenience and come prepared. Listening to the tracks for the first time on your way to your audition is not recommended. The tracks that you practice with are the same that will be used for your audition.
