You can show God's love in action to our mission partner Fostering Hope in one of the following ways:
Return freezer meals, pajamas, thank you cards, and or shampoo on Back to School Sunday, August 17th!

1. Write a thank you card to a foster care worker.

2. Volunteer at the Caring Closet. Use this link to sign-up your family to serve on a Saturday from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM CDT.

3. Donate a kids 3 in 1 shampoo like this:

4. Donate a pair of pajamas in a kids size.

5. Donate a freezer meal. Pick up a pan from C3 Central and make one of the following recipes. Please label the lid with the name of the meal, date prepared and cooking instructions.


Chicken Casserole

Makes one 9×13 pan

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups shredded cooked chicken

  • 3 cups of cooked rice

  • 1 can of cream of chicken condensed soup

  • 1/2 cup of chicken broth

  • 1 bag of frozen peas and carrots

  • 1/2 Tablespoon of salt

  • 1/4 Tablespoon of black pepper

  • 1 1/2 cups of french-fried onions

  • 2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese

Directions:

1. In a small bowl, combine the cheese and onions together – set aside (for the topping)

2. In a large bowl, combine the rest of the ingredients together, then pour into a 9×13 pan.

3. Sprinkle on the topping mixture. Cover and place in the freezer.

Baking instructions to pass along: Bake at 350 until heated through.


Chicken Enchiladas

Makes one 9×13 pan

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups cooked and shredded chicken

  • 3 cups shredded cheddar cheese

  • 10 medium flour tortillas

  • 2 cans red enchilada sauce

Directions:

1. Mix 1 cup cheese, chicken, and 1 can red enchilada sauce in a bowl.

2. With a large spoon, fill each tortilla with the mixture. Roll them up and place 10 in each greased baking dish with seams down.

3. Pour the remaining cans of enchilada sauce over the top of each pan.

4. Top with remaining cheese. Cover and place in the freezer.

Baking instructions to pass along: Bake at 350 until heated through.


Tex-Mex Chicken Casserole

Makes one 9×13 pan

Ingredients:

  • 2 chicken breasts, cooked & shredded

  • 4 cups of cooked rice

  • 1 can of Rotel tomatoes, drained

  • 1 pack of taco seasoning

  • 1 can of whole kernel corn, drained

  • 1 can of black beans, undrained

  • 3 cups of cheddar cheese, grated

Directions:

1. Mix together all of the ingredients in a bowl, except the cheese.

2. Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13 pan, then top with the cheddar cheese.

2. Cover and place in the freezer.
