A commitment to pray for every home in Carterville that each may encounter the joy of the Gospel.

Before You Walk: Gather with your group and pray.

Pray that the Lord would give you open eyes and hearts to our community around us. Use this prayer from “Every Moment Holy”: We open our hearts anew to you this day. O Lord, that the love of the Father and the life of Christ and the breath of the Spirit would quicken within us a greater affection for your ways. Work your will within us, Lord Christ.

As You Walk: Pray for every individual in every home to…

  • …have a saving relationship with Jesus and experience the joy of walking with Him.

    • Phil. 1:9-11 - And it is my prayer that your love may abound more and more, with knowledge and all discernment, so that you may approve what is excellent, and so be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.

  • …be filled with humility in their relationships with others.

    • Phil. 2:1-11 - …Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus...

  • …pursue a life following Jesus.

    • Phil. 3:7-8 - But whatever gain I had, I counted as loss for the sake of Christ. Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake, I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ

  • …experience the peace and joy that only comes through the Gospel.

    • Phil. 4:5-7 - The Lord is at hand;  do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

After You Walk: Gather with your group and pray.

Ask the Lord to continue to open your heart and mind to his movement to love, serve, and bless his people. Use this prayer, created with words from Philippians, to guide your prayer: Grace and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ to each of you, and because we hold you in our hearts, for we are partakers of grace together, we thank God for each of you and for this time together.

Thank you for praying with us! Stop by the map in the C3 lobby to mark your section complete.
